The Church of Everlasting Love

The children of the streets (precious lives that nobody cares for, and that most of the world has decided to ignore, becoming blind voluntarily, blaming them out of ignorance) still do not understand why so much accusation has taken place when they were rejected to begin with. They feel like a dog that was loved for a while, and, all of a sudden and for no apparent reason he is thrown out of a car, in the middle of nowhere. Even though they are physically alive, they have been practically killed as a result.

This reminds me about the story of Cain and Abel. Genesis 4:10:" What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground?" Verse 12(b) says:" A vagabond and a fugitive you shall be on the earth". (13)" And Cain said to the Lord: My punishment is greater that I can bear". And, when we look at these verses, we automatically come back to the previous chapter of the same book, when Adam realized what he did:" ……….and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself". (Gen 3:10(b)) And thereafter, when men finally understood who God was, men gave praise to Him who created us, and He saw that it was good, but men did not see how good God was even though He created them into His own image. Men finally understood that they had a Father in the heavens, and " then men became to call on the name of the Lord:(Gen 4:26) Why do we say that we love God, are acting against our own statements? Why do we decide to kill Abel every day of our life? Why do we decide to live with hidden shame? How is it possible that we accept to eat of the fruit on a daily basis? Because we simply forgot what the Lord said, because we have decided to close our eyes, our hearts, our ears. Are we the lost when we decide to be blind, or when we are committing the sin of omission, and unfortunately, the commission of sin follows thereafter?

The children of the inner cities, wherever they are, are related to Abel, they do not understand, and their blood is calling on the Lord. The Lord is sending the Holy Spirit to us but unfortunately, most of the time, we refuse to listen to Him. "We are too busy" we say. We have our own problems to deal with and maybe we do not want to listen because we feel that we are too oppressed. It is when we encounter tribulation that we have to stop what we are doing and take a time off to listen to what the Lord want us to do and not what we think is the best escape from our situations according to our flesh. The children of the street are the accused ones, they are the oppressed ones, they represent the crying blood of Abel. Couldn’t we force ourselves to call timeout and ask what do you want me to do Lord? What plan do you have for me? What do you want me to do for them? What is my part?

The children of the inner cities around the world are the ones we judge!

Bath time in an inner city "somewhere" in the world

But shouldn’t we be honest with ourselves? Wouldn’t it be possible to admit that if there are groups of desolation called gang it is because we have decided to close our eyes on them in the beginning? They do not even know what a family looks like; they have never heard of the word love. They have been abandoned by their own fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters; we have rejected them because they were not loved and therefore, they are gathering together because they are afraid. They have decided to create their own families with tough laws; but do we know how big the wound of their heart is? Did we take the time to look at the emptiness in their heart? Why did we decide to judge them? Because we feel that they do not belong in our society! Pure and simple. We have imposed an irrevocable sentence on them because they look weird, they act weird, they talk funny and they have an attitude. Maybe we didn’t realize the fact that if they have an attitude it is because they have been rejected. They feel like by having a gun or a knife they can protect themselves against others who are in the same situation. If these wonderful children do not know how to read or write, it is because we have decided to ignore them; we have decided to close our eyes on the fact that their own fathers or mothers or both of them have been deceived and the pleasure of the flesh has killed their soul. They have been thrown in the arena facing the beasts, they have been locked behind the walls of Babylon and we have become the guards of the gates. But the Lord is looking at us and He says to them to be patient because:" Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you, I will save the lame, and gather those who were driven out. I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you, I will give you fame and praise among all the people of the earth, when I return your captivities before your eyes", says the Lord". (Zeph.3: 19,20).

We are Christians, we believe in Him because He died for us on the cross and was raised from the dead; we understood that His sacrifice was for our redemption, our salvation, and we have recognized Him as the Son of God not only by His miracles but by the fact that He was raised from the dead; he showed Himself to multitudes for the world to receive and understand the power of His magic words:" Peace be with you!". "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel"; we understand the meaning of His words:" For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance:" (Mat 9:13). Therefore, let’s put our acts together for Him, let’s accept the reality of the facts that He has chosen us SINCE THE BEGINNING, WHEN HE CREATED US INTO HIS OWN IMAGE, we did not chose Him ( John 15:16)let’s go tell these children of the Lord that today, it is not only their day, it is also ours, it is the day where we have decided to go to them for forgiveness, it is the day when they will come to Him through us and they will forgive as He did for us, and the peace of the Lord will come upon all of us and we will be ready to be appointed "for praise and fame". We will be gathered among the people of the earth, them with us, us with them and Him with all of us and we will receive our fame and praise. The blood that He shed for us to purify all of us, for the redemption and salvation of our souls has made the walls of Babylon falling and the beasts of the arena to devour themselves because they do not see us anymore. Praise His Holy name.

And what about others we call "THE ACCUSED OF THE STREET"? What about them?

All around the world we can see them, walking up and down the street, clothed with arrogance, carrying a small bag and false smile, trying the best they can to invite someone in their "private castle". They are the accused of the street, the blame of the society, the shame of the neighborhood, the dumpster of the cave of the city. In average, they are very young and most of them are either pregnant or already have a young baby hidden away. Some of them have decided to change their appearance to become either a man or a woman. They have been left for dead by their own families who lives in the country side. What happened to these young boys and girls?

Do you remember Tamar’s story? Tamar was the half sister of Amnon, brother of Absalon, both sons of King David, but Amnon was from a second marriage. He had a secret love for Tamar who didn’t even know about it. But a friend of his, Jonadab, acted the same way the serpent acted with Eve and deceived him. So Amnon, following the advice of Jonadab, pretended that he was ill and asked for Tamar through King David, for her to come to his home to cook for him that he may see her while she was preparing the cakes and eat them from her hands (2nd Samuel 13: 1-8) then Amnon asked everyone to go out from him and asked Tamar to bring the cakes to his room:" Now, when she had brought them for him to eat he took hold of her and said to her:" Come, lie with me my sister" And from verse 12 to verse 20, we see that Amnon forces his sister and that he treats her like a whore after the consumption of his satisfaction, and Tamar lives the rest of her life with shame.

The story is still real even as of today! I have met with young girls and boys and talked with them; 80% of the ones I talked with relate to Tamar story; but unfortunately, the end of their story is that instead of being comforted by their families, they prefer to escape. Most of the time the children I talked to told me that their families do not know where they are or what they do. They know that what they are doing is not wise but the attraction of money has become their way of life, when I asked them about changing their life, most of the time the answer is:" Do you know of a better job that can pay an average of $100 or more per day, understanding that we do not have school education, job training and most of us do not know how to read or write? What we do is the only thing we know; we have to survive and feed our babies. Our families are not aware of what we are doing because they have rejected us, there is no love in our homes; we have been beaten, yelled at, mentally and sexually abused. They don’t care about us. Even though the life we have at this time is not easy sometimes, we are a family, we understand each other. Some of us were born in the street and some of us do not have a family; they do not know their own father or mother. At least, we are together to comfort one another in our own territory.

I have talked with families whose children are doing drug and prostitution; at the center, we have rescued some of the children and tried to bring the families together, but, when they meet again the child is so involved with drug and/or alcohol that they sometimes do not recognize they own. For a time the family is back together but after a short wile, they split again.

Sexual aggression is due to the abuse of drug and alcohol; facts are that some people, especially in poor areas, have a hard time to face the reality of poverty. Most of the women, are beaten, abused, raped, broken by their own husbands. Therefore, they (mothers and children) escape from their homes to take refuge wherever they can. Some end up in some kind of rescue centers that are more like boot camps than anything else and some others end up in the street and this is especially true for the young girls and boys. Most of them never went to school, they find themselves in the street, looking for ways to survive. Unfortunately, they meet with "trainers" and they get the feeling of being rescued.

But the good news is that some of them have heard about the Gospel and are awaiting for the Word to be revealed to them. Let me share with you the story of Evelyn. Evelyn started prostitution at the age of 14 after she was sexually abused by her father. She stayed in this life over 12 years until such day when we met (that was one and a half years ago) One evening, she called the ministry and I asked her:" What do you need, what can I do for you?" and she answered:" I know that Jesus is coming back soon and I don’t want Him to leave me behind". Since that day, her life has changed; she went back to school and she is still learning how to become an assistant nurse. Today, Evelyn has a new job, she works 5 days a week at a supermarket while finishing her school education. She shared with me that her life has changed from the worst to the better "like overnight" she said. Because of love and compassion the Lord has had on her, she was led to go see her father recently to tell him that he was forgiven not only by the Lord but by herself as well. When she came back from her trip, she told me with tears in her eyes that her father had received the most precious and deep words from her :" I love you Daddy; I do not have anything anymore against you, I forgave you." Evelyn is now witnessing to others what the Lord has done for her in her life, she is helping others to stay off the street, she is teaching them what true and unconditional love can do, for this love has been given to us in the beginning and that the promise that became flesh has redeemed all of us through the resurrection of Christ Jesus, giving us our identity as children of God that we can be saved and sanctified. How many Evelyns do we know?

The Day of Mutual Forgiveness is scheduled by the Lord and not by this ministry. This very special day is for all of us to become one body for the sake of the ones who have been persecuted, rejected, neglected, abused, beaten, broken and most of all judged by the selfishness of human beings who have chosen to condemn with eyes they closed, choosing not to look at the bleeding hearts of the ones who are becoming parents against their will.

I pray for the Lord to give you wisdom in helping us in the set up of The Day of Mutual Forgiveness. That day will open our eyes, our hearts, our arms and the mighty Hand of the Lord will bless all of us. We will come believing in things hoped for, knowing that the Light that became flesh overcame forever the darkness in which we were dwelling; that Light from which the darkness does not understand that nothing can extinguish the Light that created light, the light of unconditional love that was given to us in the beginning.

As a minister of the Gospel I bless you, you who are reading these words. Receive the blessings of the Mighty Hand of our Lord that will protect you and will give you peace and happiness forever and ever.

Amen.
